Working for Our Communities

We love to sew and we love to help!  It's the perfect combination and our communities benefit.  Whether it's a hospitalized child, an elder in a nursing home or a cancer survivor, we love to make items and donate them to those in need.

We have "Charity Sew Days" each month at the Blakey Center in Glenwood, IL where we join with friends to sew, sew, sew.  We invite you to join in.  Just check our calendar for the next available day.  We'll have kits available so all you have to do is bring your machine and your big heart.

Not able to join us then?  No problem.  Below is a description of what we do as well as a few patterns to get you started at home.  You can either bring them to one of our Guild meetings (also on our calendar) or let us know when you're done and we'll arrange to have your items picked up.
