QUILTERS PLUS
Sewing and Serving in Chicago's Southland Since 1979
Quilters are friends you just haven't met yet...
At Quilters Plus Guild, we are good at three things: learning, sharing, and making friends. Whether you are an experienced quilter or are just beginning, you can find fellowship and support at Quilters Plus meetings, workshops, and special events. We have over 145 members who come from all over the Chicago metropolitan area and Northwest Indiana. Come join us!
Learning
We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month in Glenwood, Illinois. Each meeting includes a short section to address guild business, an always fabulous member Show & Tell, and a program. Past speakers have included David Taylor, Sue Spargo, Edytar Sitar and many others well-known in the quilting arts community. Please see our Programs & Workshops page for the current schedule.
The membership year is July 1 to June 30. Annual membership entitles members to monthly programs, a discount on workshops, the bi-monthly newsletter, access to the lending library, and the annual membership directory.

Sharing
Community Service is an integral part of the Quilters Plus year. At the annual community service meeting and throughout the year, members make baby hats and quilts, juvenile pillowcases, cancer patient hats, lap quilts, and wheelchair and walker bags for local hospitals and nursing homes.
At the December holiday meeting, members donate hats, gloves, and basic school supplies to a local school whose students are in need.
Donations are also made throughout the year to local food pantries

Growing Friendships
Many new members come to Quilters Plus via a friend who is already a member. But whether you come with a friend or come alone, Quilters Plus activities provide great forums for meeting new and interesting people. Participating in our monthly workshops or Community Service Day, volunteering at our annual Holiday Boutique or attending our annual holiday party and Spring Luncheon are all opportunities to enjoy longtime friends or meet new folks.
